Kay Lang

President + CEO at Kay Lang + Associates

Kay Lang has specialized in the field of four and five-star hospitality and high-end residential design for over 30 years. Her projects span the globe from boutique hotels and destination resorts, to full-service properties, including large scale mixed-use projects.
As Principal in Charge, Ms. Lang leads her design team utilizing her distinctive design vision with a personal, hands-on approach. As an artist herself, she is intimately involved from the inception of the project. She provides hand sketches during the conceptual & schematic design phases and selects and supervises the color palette through the architectural interior design development and construction documentation. To ensure a sense of place, Ms. Lang orchestrates the selection for the art and artifacts program.
In 2006, Ms. Lang was inducted into the prestigious “Platinum Circle for Lifetime Achievement” by Hospitality Design Magazine. Her firm is a Women Owned Business Enterprise, and recently she was named as one of 30 Influential Women in Hospitality by Hotel Management Magazine. She promotes the mentoring of design students and giving back to the community.

David Rochefort

Graduate Hotels President

David Rochefort is the President of Graduate Hotels and oversees the brand and operations for Graduate’s 22 existing properties, and more than 13 forthcoming projects set to open by 2021. 
Mr. Rochefort previously served as the Senior Vice President of Asset Management for Graduate Hotels. He joined AJ Capital Partners in 2014 to support the launch of Graduate and has played an instrumental role in the continued growth and management of the brand, since the beginning. Initially hired to join the acquisitions team, Mr. Rochefort ultimately launched the brand’s asset management division with the goal of taking a more comprehensive approach to the portfolio. A decisive, cross discipline leader, he has worked on the acquisition, asset management, brand and investment teams throughout his tenure. Mr. Rochefort has played a critical role in each of the brand’s openings, as well as contributing to securing pivotal growth projects such as the forthcoming Graduate Roosevelt Island, opening in collaboration with Cornell Tech in Summer 2020. Prior to joining AJCP, Mr. Rochefort was an associate at Pebblebrook Hotel Trust in Bethesda, MD. During his three years with the trust, they grew from three to 30 hotels. 
Mr. Rochefort received his Bachelor of Science from the Cornell School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University, with a minor in real estate finance.

With a passion for pioneering ideas and new approaches to hospitality experiences, Ron serves as the CIO at The Gettys Group, an award winning global hospitality design firm specializing in interior design, consulting, branding & procurement, where he has shaped hundreds of hotels, resorts and brand initiatives over more than three decades with us. In 2003, Ron created the Hotel of Tomorrow™ Project, an industry-leading think tank that brought together more than 100 companies to envision the future of hospitality. He is currently
leading a new phase of this project, aimed at addressing the new needs that have arisen for
hospitality in 2020. His vision also led to the founding of Gettys ONE—our interior design group dedicated to branded hotels—and our branding group—where he led brand creation and strategic thinking projects for boutique properties, large industry events and international brands. He is a frequent speaker at industry events and has been quoted in numerous publications for his hospitality, design and branding insights. Ron received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois. He is affiliated with the Hospitality Advisory Council at DePaul University, School of Hospitality Leadership. He also serves as an adjunct professor at Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon, France; EM Lyon in Paris; Haaga Helia University in Helsinki, Finland; and Breda University of Applied Sciences in The Netherlands

Ronald Kim

Chief Operating Officer

Ronald Kim joined the company in 2013. His primary responsibilities are asset management including strategic direction and oversight of the assets within the portfolio, real estate acquisitions and business development. Prior to joining Prospera, Mr. Kim worked as the Vice President Business Development for Davidson Hotels, where his primary responsibility was new acquisitions and management contracts. Prior to Davidson, Mr. Kim worked at Hilton Hotels Corporation in Managed Development and Project Finance in which he was responsible for over $2 billion in debt and equity transactions. Prior to Hilton, Mr. Kim worked at Yarmouth, a boutique investment real estate firm, where he had asset management responsibilities for several west coast hotel assets. Mr. Kim earned his CPA designation while working at Arthur Anderson LLP as a Senior Auditor. Mr. Kim holds his MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at the University of California Los Angeles and a BA in Business Economics from UCLA.
